Written responses are graded by jurisdiction-appointed graders using detailed, uniform grading rubrics provided by NCBE. With training provided by NCBE, graders assign points to each response based on the guidelines provided in the rubrics.
Jurisdiction graders only assess written responses from examinees within their own jurisdiction, and all responses are graded by two different graders, with any differences in score assignments resolved by the jurisdiction.
