The NCBE Number is the unique identifier for your NCBE Account through which all NCBE services are delivered, including the Character and Fitness Application. The NCBE Number also is used as the unique identifier for MBE, MPRE, and UBE scores. State bar admission offices may use the NCBE Number as an identifier for other admission-related purposes. Therefore, applicants should have only ONE NCBE Number and associated account. Use the NCBE Account Lookup to determine if you have an NCBE Account before creating a new one.
To access a prior Character and Fitness Application, you will need to Create an NCBE Account or log in to your existing NCBE Account. You can use the NCBE Account Lookup to determine if you already have an NCBE account. Follow the instructions on the Character and Fitness tab inside your NCBE Account to link to your existing or previous Character and Fitness Application.
Taking the bar examination or the MPRE does not result in an NCBE Number being assigned to you. Only individuals who have created an NCBE Account via our website have been assigned NCBE Numbers. Use the NCBE Account Lookup to determine if you have an NCBE Account.
